About Retrotec: We are a dynamic, leading manufacturer of instrumentation, training and software that is used in analyzing building performance of a wide range of buildings from houses to high-rises in 60 countries. The mother business is located in Everson Washington and have been in business since 1980.
Wohler Retrotec Europe BV is the satellite company of Retrotec in Europe, based in the Netherlands, providing sales, services and training in non-destructive testing and non-destructive testing equipment. We provide equipment to Europe, the East till Russia, parts of Africa and the Middle East. To support and increase our growth in Europe we are looking for a sales representative for a fulltime job of 40 hours per week (excluding breaks) at our location in Barchem (GLD). The successful candidate does not need to be Dutch or even speak Dutch, but would need to work in the Netherlands.
About you: You will be required to provide professional, timely and knowledgeable customer service while optimizing sales opportunities for a variety of our products. You must be willing to complete training to learn how to use our equipment so you can apply that experience to the sales process. You already have considerable experience in a sales position, preferably in a technical environment.
Job description:
- Pursue opportunities in new markets
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Gathering market and customer information
- Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets
- Negotiate the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations throughout Europe
- Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
- Keep up to date with new product offerings from suppliers
- Record sales and order information, and entering figures in an orderly manner
- Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
- Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations
- Listen to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
- Arrange meetings with potential customers and develop an extended client base
- Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries
- Liaise with the team to improve the speed of delivery

Required qualifications:
- Outstanding social and sales skills
- Proper level of English, both written and spoken
- Knowing your personal limits
- Loyal and good work-ethic
- Capable of working independently
- Portray company and self well
- maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Proven sales record in a B2B environment- minimum 2 years
- An understanding of the “Sales Process” from prospecting to closing
- General Microsoft Office skills
- Contact management software (Office dynamics)
- Order processing software (we use Exact)
- Technically inclined with ability to understand and convey complex methodologies
Preferred additional qualifications:
- Speaking any other languages, preferably German and/or French
- Bachelor degree or higher in any sales/marketing related study
- Good sense of humour
- Taking initiative
