Model 4210 Contra System

The Model 4210 Contra System features two Model 6000 Fans running in series but in opposite directions. Primarily designed as a duct tester, it can also be adapted for testing larger enclosures when paired with a Large Door Frame and high-pressure cloth.

This system operates with two 1.5 hp fans in contra mode, where the fans are in series with contra-rotating blades moving in opposite directions. While typical house testing fans lose efficiency beyond 100 Pa and generate only about 100 CFM at 500 Pa, the Model 4200 Contra System delivers an impressive 5,000 CFM at the same pressure, making it a powerful tool for high-pressure testing applications.

Equipped with the newly released, industry-changing DM32X gauge, the Model 4200 Contra System ensures precision and real-time data collection. It is ideal for research projects requiring high flow at high pressure, making it well-suited for testing building components such as wall sections, mockups, roofs, doors, windows, or pressure vents. It is also perfect for ISO standards testing that requires airflow in both directions at pressures up to 300 Pa.
