Download & System Requirements

  • Visit the Retrotec website’s Support → Software Downloads section.

  • Click Download next to “FanTestic (Lite/Pro/6/24)”.

  • Ensure your system meets requirements—Windows XP or newer, .NET 4.0, 600 MB+ disk space, 512 MB RAM, and Microsoft Word (2007+). For automatic testing, also install the DM-2 or DM-32 drivers.

Installing the Software

  • Run setup.exe as Administrator.

  • For DM‑2 gauge users: manually install the USB driver.

  • For DM‑32 gauges: USB or Ethernet setup will include driver installation.

  • After installation, launch FanTestic via the Start Menu or desktop icon—it opens in 30-day demo mode.

Licensing & Protocol Selection

  • Under Settings → Enter license, paste your license key (include the full ===START_KEY=== … ===END_KEY=== block).

  • License determines access level: number of gauges, fans, and supported standards (ASTM, ATTMA, CGSB, EN13829, ISO, USACE).

  • Change test standards via Settings → Change Standard Used for New Tests. You may need to restart between changes

Locating FanTestic & Output Files

  • Find the application via Start Menu → Retrotec → FanTestic.

  • Test files are stored in My Documents → Retrotec → Tests (*.exml format).

  • Generated reports (Word/Excel) appear in My Documents → Retrotec → Reports.
