Pressurization is more convenient in tight spaces and avoids blowing seals off registers—preferred for field flexibility.
Set Up and Exectute Steps
Seal and Connect
Tape all register openings.
Install range ring/plate on DucTester and attach flex duct to the return inlet
Connect Gauge and Fan
Tube up the gauge to the fan and duct system according to Quick Guide diagrams.
For pressurization: connect flex to fan outlet; for depressurization: connect to fan inlet
Run the Test
Power on DucTester.
Monitor pressure on Channel A, adjusting fan speed or range as needed.
Stabilize readings and record flow—CFM@25 Pa by default—for duct leakage measurement.
Consider Both Modes
Try pressurization first to test range attachments easily.
Follow with depressurization to validate results and seal integrity

Install the smallest effective range for best measurement resolution.
Let the system stabilize (typically ~30–60 s) before logging readings.
Switch modes between test runs to ensure full coverage and reliability.
